Welcome to Introduction to Business

In this blog we will be discussing business concepts covered in class.

Here is how it will work in our class.  I will be post a question based on a concept we have worked with in class.  You will respond to the question by adding new information or giving your opinion.

Before we get into any course work here, please tell me about yourself. Its always nice to get to know the people that you work with a little better. Please take the time to answer the questions below.

Here we go;

  1. Tell me a bit about yourself - Likes, dislikes, hobbies or perhaps your favorite activity?
  2. Do you have a job? Where, what do you do and do you like it?
  3. How did last year go?  What courses did you ace and what course did you have difficulty with? 
  4. What sort of activities and lessons do you like to do in class?

    1. I like playing video games and swimming. My favorite sport is soccer.

    2. Not yet. Hope to get one this year

    3.Last year went pretty good. I did well in pretty much all my courses.
    4. I like these activities and lessons to do in class:

    2. No!
    3. First sem: english, science, art, gym
    Second sem: geo, business, math, french
    The courses were fairly easy. I could have
    passed all classes but I didnt apply myself

    I like roller coasters, horror movies and cartoons. I have a job at the Hamilton Gun Club. I work as a trapper and loader. It's fun and it pays well. Last year was awesome. Grade nine was amazing. I bombed math and passed science, drama, french, english, geography and gym. I like to write notes and watch movies. Grade ten is going to be an awesome year.

    Finally got this to work.
    Hi my name is mackenzie hahn i am grade 10 at saltfleet district highschool and i have a few hobbies. I love to play sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, and rugby. My favourtie activity is basketball,I play rep basketball for transway basketball. I do not have a job anywhere. Last year i was in grade 9 and i loved business class and got a pretty good mark in the class, but i had trouble in math class and didnt do so well. This is all about me.

    Likes: I like playing soccer, and staying healthy, as well as maintaining good marks in school.
    Dislikes: Dislike the stress that comes from school, and nosy people.
    Hobby: Soccer

    Last year went pretty good even though it was rough in the beginning. Classes were easy and the teachers were great for the most part. Most importantly I made good friends along the way.

    In class I like watching videos. Mostly I like having a hands on experience. i think it is more interesting than sitting down and listening to a teacher for an hour.

    I am really into music and writing, and spend a lot of my time with photography. I do not have a job. Last year was fun, I enjoyed my classes and I made a lot of new friends. My favourite classes are music and English. In lessons I prefer writing notes and watching videos.

    Okay so I really hope this works.
    1. Hi, I'm Jordan. You obviously know this by now though. I enjoy reading, hanging out with my friends, shopping, baking, playing a variety of sports and watching Pretty Little Liars. I love the beach, video games, cupcakes, roller coasters, and about a million other little random things. I guess I dislike mornings, being too hot, homework and bugs. My favourite activity? Sleeping of course.
    2.I wish I had a job, I really need one. I used to babysit little kids. However, I don't enjoy babysitting, so I quit.
    3.My first year at Saltfleet was a successful one. I do really well in science, english,math geography, and most of my subjects. I think french was the most difficult class, while business was my least favourite. (I kid!)
    4.I like taking notes abd watching videos. I hate skits.

    1. I enjoy snowboarding and playing sports. I also like playing guitar.
    2. I referee hockey at Lawfield and Dofasco.
    3. I did well last year in math and science but i struggled in french.

    Hobbies: rugby
    Activity: none
    2. Yes, Phoenix Fitness, Child Care, Depends on the
    day.
    3. First Sem: eng, food&nutrition, science, gym
    Second Sem: geo, art, french, math
    It was somewhat easy with some difficulties.

    Likes: i like to sleep, eat and play soccer
    Dislikes: nothing
    hobbies: playing soccer
    Favourite activities are playing soccer
    I have a job working at a soccer academy every saturday. I coach and i do like it.
    Last year went good. i had an 83 in english and a 96 in gym. I had difficulty with geography
    I enjoy watching videos and investigating or researching.

    1. i like hockey, bmx biking, music, and girls.i dislike waking up for school.
    2. i dont have a job, but i blackmarket off of kijiji making a fair amount of money.
    3.last year did not go well because i took academic classes and did horrible :/
    4. i like getting to work with people, and learning about stuff that is important in life.

    3.I did very well last year.i aced art, science and business. I didnt do well in english.

    1. I like to play many sports especially hockey, i don't dislike anything.

    2. I do not have a job although i would like one.

    3. Last year was great, i got good marks in all my subject but i did my worst in french, 75.

    4.During class i like to watch demonstrations, videos, and just having class conversations.

    Hi everyone. Thanks for sharing the information about yourself on the blog. It may seem confusing at first but you will get the hang of it soon enough.

    I hope your first week went well. I had a great summer but I do enjoy coming back to work. Saltfleet is a great place.

    Since you shared stuff about yourself I'll share as well. When I'm not at Saltfleet, I enjoy fishing and being active. I have two little boys who enjoy playing sports and learning about superheroes. I like reading and cooking.

    As the semester goes along we'll continue to share and learn about each other.
